Hmaram from Mizoram is a beautiful traditional textile or handicraft good. It is skillfully crafted by the Mizo weavers. Hmaram is a popular traditional cloth of the Mizo people. It is a small skirt, worn only by ladies and girls. The cloth is wrapped around the waist by tucking in at the waist to fasten it, covering the lower part of the body. It is commonly worn during festive dances and official ceremonies like Pawl Kut and Chapchar Kut. It is also worn by girls during various traditional dances such as Khuallam, Sarlamkai and Chawnglaizawn.
