Nilgiri (Orthodox)

This Tea is grown in the smallest district of Tamil Nadu at the junction of the Western and the Eastern Ghats region in high altitudes. The Tea gardens are grown above 1500 m on steep slopes which enables the natural draining of excess rainwater. The elevation above the sea level is a crucial factor for the quality of the orthodox teas. This tea is best known for its antioxidant activity.
