Eathomozhy Tall Coconut originates in Kanyakumari district, the southern most part of the Peninsular India. This crop is claimed as a heritage of archeological and commercial importance. It is known for its sturdy stem, large crown, fairly big sized nuts, with good fibre in the thick shell, kernel and high copra and oil contents. The tree grows to a height of 30 meter and lives for a period over 80 to 100 years. This variety is very unique and it performs as per its genetic potential in this geographical area.
