Dharwad Pedha is a sweetmeat made of processed milk, brown in colour, coated with sugar and is unique in its flavor. Due to the strenuous efforts involved in preparation, only limited quantity is made on a daily basis. It has longer shelf life than other milk made sweetmeats. The distinctive process
followed in its production gives it the unique flavor and also ensures that the
sweet does not perish easily, with its flavor intact, a quality not easily found in
similar milk products.
